When choosing an agent to work with, many prioritize experience. It’s because that experience lends itself to creditability and good advice. And when it comes to experience, very few can rival what Jeff Cook brings to the table. For over 18 years in the insurance industry, his singular focus has been to work for the best interests of his
clients.
Prior to joining GF&A, Jeff successfully managed his own insurance agency in Texas. When he moved back to PA, he re-established himself as a trusted insurance resource and has effectively managed our York location ever since.
Speaking of experience and his time in Texas, another talent Jeff brings to the table is his grill and smoker talents. Unfortunately, none of us have been able to get him to share his recipes!

Dan first came to Grove Financial & Associates in May of 2012, after years of experience as a personal claims adjuster for a local insurance company. Knowing how devastating a loss can be without the right coverage in place, Dan’s experience and knowledge has become a treasured resource for his clients when it comes to proper insurance and financial planning.
It isn’t always about numbers, though. There’s a personal element that Dan is known for. He takes pride in making sure he’s available when his clients need him most. If that involves meetings or phone calls in the evening or on a weekend – so be it.
When he’s not in the office, you’ll most likely find Dan deep in the woods camping and kayaking with his wife, Bekah. No luck? Check the nearest golf course or bowling alley. Or you can catch him at Citizens Bank Park cheering the Philadelphia Phillies!
Our Perry County specialist and resident expert on all things outdoorsy, Derek Fry manages our location in Newport, PA.
Like other associates in our firm, Derek had extensive experience as a claims adjuster for Nationwide Insurance before joining the Grove Financial family in December of 2010. Transitioning that experience to the consultative side of the insurance industry has been a natural fit, where he specializes in personal lines, farm, commercial and life insurance.
A graduate of Millersville University and a life-long resident of Perry County, Derek is an avid hunter and outdoorsman. He’s also a strong supporter of the New Bloomfield Fire Company. And he’ll gladly share the adventures he and his wife endure at the hands of his two daughters. But if you want our advice – see if he’ll share his deer jerky with you!
One of the pitfalls of the business world, at times, is that honor and integrity can be lost. For Joe Pultro, our agent that helps manage our location in Hanover, those virtues come first. With every client, he looks to provide for their best interests before all else.
A lifelong student of theology and an avid supporter of law enforcement, Joe has provided insurance services in the Hanover area for over 16 years. His areas of expertise has grown to include property, auto, life, flood and power
sports coverage. If his client has a need, Joe is committed to offering a solution.
In his free time, Joe loves to spend time with his grandchildren. He is also a proud supporter of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, the Covenant House for Homeless Children, the Shriners, Catholic Charities, Wounded Warriors, the American Red Cross and the Central PA Food Bank.

Originally from the Hanover area, Krista is a graduate of South Western High School and continued her scholastic career at HACC-Gettysburg and York College. Bonnie Jo is the most tenured co-worker in our firm, beginning her career with Bob Grove and the original Grove Insurance Agency over 25 years ago. She was adopted by GF&A in January of 2015 when Bob Grove retired. Her name is synonymous with our Mechanicsburg location and her experience tending to our insurance clients is unmatched.
A graduate of Cedar Cliff High School, Bonnie Jo initially had ambitions of a career in nursing. After graduating from the Harrisburg Polyclinic School of Nursing, she spent several years working in patient care at various hospitals. When she decided to transition to the insurance industry, she never looked back.

Donna first started her career in the insurance industry in April of 1987. Originally with the William Therit Jr. Insurance Agency, Donna joined GF&A in February of 2018 when William retired.
Along with Wendy Groft, Donna plays a vital role in helping manage our commercial department at our Hanover office. When working with our largest commercial clients, attention to detail is everything. A gap in coverage could spell disaster for a growing company when the unexpected occurs. Donna prides herself in leaving no stone unturned when it comes to reviewing coverage.
Outside of the office, you can find Donna enjoying a glass of wine, watching Steelers football and spoiling her granddaughters! She’s also a cat lover and has shared her home with several rescue cats. She’s a strong supporter of the SPCA, the American Cancer Society and Dillsburg Canine Rescue.

In an era driven by technological advancements that allow you to connect with your agent and manage your insurance policies with a phone call or email, it’s rare for clients to request face-to-face consultations. But for Irma, having clients travel from all parts of Central PA for an opportunity to meet with her in person is a daily norm. A trusted resource for help with personal and commercial insurance, Irma has established herself as a household name within the local Hispanic community.
Irma first joined Trispagonas Insurance in November of 2012, but her insurance career dates back to April of 2007 when she first started with the O’Hara Agency. Originally from Ecuador, she speaks and writes Spanish fluently and has been renowned in our agency for her kindness, dedication and extraordinary work ethic.
Irma is a proud wife and mother of two. She’s also an active member at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Harrisburg. When she’s not in the office, you’ll find her at church helping organize various fundraising events and serving on the parish counsel.

Commercial insurance is a specialized field. Imagine the hundreds of different types of businesses throughout the country and their need to be properly insured. It takes a special talent to understand the different types of coverage that are available and needed by those businesses. That talent in particular has been a specialty for Wendy Groft since 1987.
A native of the area, Wendy helps manage our commercial department at our Hanover location. A graduate of Hanover Senior High School (and in our opinion, she’s Hanover’s best Prom Queen to date), Wendy entered into the insurance industry right after high school. She has since become an integral part of our commercial operation. Outside of insurance, Wendy focuses on her family, friends and local community.
